Concrete and Construction Related Resources-

Concrete Pumping- Concrete Pumping services are used to pump concrete through a hose to locations where trucks cannot gain access. Independent Pump owner or concrete pumping services work with local concrete suppliers and concrete finishers to provide the pumping service.

Concrete Ready Mix _ Ready mix concrete is available in 9 yard trucks. Various ready mix companies provide ready mix concrete devilery to jobsites. When ordering readymix ask your contractor about (sack content and slump) these represent the amount of cement and water in the concrete mix.

Concrete Contractors- Contractors usually excavate the area and build the forms needed to contain the concrete. Wire mesh or rebar is used to increase the strength of the concrete. Some concrete contractors just build forms and others may specialize in Concrete finishing. Most residential concrete contractors will build the forms and finish the concrete themselves.

Concrete Finishes- Various concrete finishes are available. This refers to the texture or design of the surface. Textured concrete finishes may vary from contractor to contractor
Trowel Finishes- include smooth concrete, and brush patterns such as swirls, straight broom, or various other varieties. ask your concrete contractor to provide pictures or samples if possible. broom Finishes can be applied light or coarse depending on the broom used.
Rock Salt Finishes- Rock salt crystals are thrown onto new concrete, and a roller is used to press the salt into the surface. after the concrete is set the salt will dissolve when the concrete is washed leaving small holes.
